Overview

People's Organization of Robbins Youth Service (POR) was established in 1982 as a community-based voluntary organization serving the Village of Robbins, Illinois.

Through community concern (high water rates) this organization was formed and in 1985 chartered itself as the People's Organization of Robbins Youth Service Project. Poorness focus is to provide new services and programs for youth 5-17 years of age.

Dedication to this cause is very important in the community of Robbins due to the lack of financial benefits in the local environment. POR recognizes these problems and others which youth must endure and pledges its united efforts for a better community. POR operates with the assistance of the Chicago Area Project, fundraisers, and donations.
